  • University Counseling and Consulting Services

    Walk-in services are offered from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis East Bank location only. UCCS is located at 109 Eddy Hall, 192 Pillsbury Drive S.E. (southwest corner of Pillsbury Drive S.E. and Pleasant Street). These services are not the same as those available in an emergency room and should not be substituted for a situation requiring immediate intervention. There may be a wait to speak with a walk-in counselor.


  • Boynton Health Service Mental Health Clinic
    612-625-8475 (Urgent Situations) or 612-624-1444

    Urgent counselors are available between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Call 612-625-8475 to speak with an urgent counselor or come to the Mental Health Clinic on the fourth floor of Boynton Health Service located on the East Bank at 410 Church Street SE. These services are not the same as those available in an emergency room and should not be substituted for a situation requiring immediate intervention. There may be a wait to speak with an urgent counselor.


  • International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)

    If you or your friend are international students or scholars, you can also consult or seek help from ISSS staff. Contact ISSS for a phone consultation or to make an appointment with a counselor (see contact information above). ISSS counselors are professionally trained to help international students and scholars with a multitude of personal, academic, and cross-cultural issues that they may face. They also consult with people who are concerned about international students. ISSS is located at 190 Humphrey Center on the U of M West Bank.

  • Aurora Center
    612-626-9111 (24-hour help line)

    The Aurora Center provides free and confidential support for victims/survivors
    and concerned persons effected by sexual violence, domestic violence, or
    stalking. An advocate is also available through the help line 24 hours a day to join anyone in the emergency room who has experienced sexual assault. Call (612) 626-2929 to find out about walk-in hours. The Aurora Center is located at on the fourth floor (Room 407) of Boynton Health Service, on the U of M East Bank campus.
