Health Insurance and Health Care Issues
International students and scholars are required to carry medical insurance for themselves and their dependents. Most students/scholars purchase insurance through Boynton Health Services or, for those with assistantships, the Graduate Assistant Office. Exceptions may be granted for those who have comparable insurance through an off-campus employer. Many insurance plans include coverage for mental health treatment. It is a good idea to find out where your insurance allows you to receive mental health care.
